Terre à Terre Crayères Vineyard 2021 Cabernet Franc
Arther: Mike Bennie | The Wine Front
“Shh, the not so secret secret is there’s 9% shiraz in this wine (as per the back label). It spends time in old French oak barrels. Ludicrous value too.
A sappy, succulent red of pitch-perfect medium weight, snappy with its tart and brisk red berry fruitiness, trimmed with stony, pulverised stone tannins, lifted with blood orange acidity and dashed with dried herbs, light hazelnut savouriness and a sprinkle of black pepper. Curiously, there’s almost a pinosity to the wine, lighter weight, poised, length and svelte as it rolls around the palate. An impressive and delicious red wine.”
