“I’ve said it before and the 2019 further emphasises that this is an icon in the making; the layered and textured fruit combines effortlessly with new oak to create a complete wine that has both elegance and power.
The nose has cigar box and graphite tones to blackberry fruit and generous brown spices. On the palate the tannins are drying but compact and take on bitter dark chocolate; with this drying character working beautifully amongst layered black fruits. Oak has integrated seamlessly and gives a richer embellishment to the wine.
The length is long, deeply concentrated with touch of tobacco and spice to finish.”
