Light straw in colour with a complex nose of citrus blossoms, mixed pome, donut peach, guava, lime zest, sweet hay, asparagus, nougat, brine, hints of white pepper and savoury, gently toasted spice. There’s a little bit of Savvy B funk in there too…🐈 In the mouth it’s juicy, crisp and tightly bound with high-definition flavours that echo the nose and drive with tense, apple-like acidity, deep mineral complexities and savoury spice. The balance of sweet, savoury and tart is fantastic and it drinks like a dream! A very fine grip of waxy tannin brings another dimension of texture to the creamy palate, linking the front half with the back, as it travels an undulating and winding arc through to a very long and evolving tail that shows glimmers of more complex fruits, spice and minerals yet to emerge with time. This is truly outstanding and, for me at least, is on par with the best Sauvignon Blanc in the world. TAKE MY MONEY!
