CREATING CLASSIC AUSTRALIAN WINES

Terre à Terre Crayères Vineyard Cabernet Shiraz 2022

Author: Marc Malouf | Wine Worth Writing About

Deeply ruby with a pretty and calmly expressive nose of potpourri, dried tea-like herbals, generous mixed berries, plum, yuzu, pencil shavings, walnut, gentle spice and graphite.

In the mouth it’s dry and tense but powered by a core of ripe red and black fruits that have a lick of liqueur and boast freshness, intensity and length. Gentle layers of florals, savoury spice, dried undergrowth and an almost saline/iron-rich mineral quality brings earthiness to the fruits. It’s gripped by ceramic dust-like tannins that hold all the way through to a reaching tail that is yet to complete itself. Time in bottle will do wonders here. Another serious wine that punches well above its price point. Killer!
