“aromatic, attractive and cellar worthy” – 96 points for Summertown Pinot Noir 2018

CREATING CLASSIC AUSTRALIAN WINES

Terre à Terre Summertown Vineyard Reserve Pinot Noir 2018

“This is the best Pinot Noir release from Terre a Terre to date, it is sourced from one of the oldest vineyards in the Hills that was previously used for sparkling wine, the vineyard has proven it’s ability over recent vintages to produce aromatic, attractive and cellar worthy Pinot Noir.

The ferment included 15% whole bunches and had the luxury of ageing in 40% new oak, two winemaking techniques that provided both texture and beautiful floral aromatics. The wine is a light red in the glass as you would expect, on at the palate the svelte oak influences give spice and texture that melds with gentle earthen inputs, tannins are fine yet firm with flowing acidity that will see the wine evolve for years to come. The finish is steeped in cherry and rhubarb with impressive length and a long thread of integrated baking spice..”
