“Structural and spicy” 90 Points – Erin Larkin | Robert Parker Wine Advocate

The 2021 Crayeres Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz comprises 66% Cabernet Sauvignon and 34% Shiraz. On the nose, the malty, creamy oak frames the supple, red fruit, and there are notes of cassis and dark chocolate, licorice and a hint of blueberry, layers of red earth and iodine. In the mouth, the wine is structural and spicy, with tannins that build from the mid-palate through the Hnish. This matured in seasoned French oak barriques and foudres for 14 months.
