Mid straw-yellow hue; a fresh but quite complex bouquet showing some aldehydes plus mixed spices, dried herbs and flowers, and a slight almond note. The wine is voluminous in flavour, very dry and the frisky acidity and dryness work to impart a trace of austerity, but the generous flavour balances it nicely. A powerful wine with lots of energy which promises to live on for years.
