“This blend of Cabernet Franc (63%) and Shiraz (37%) from the ancient Wrattonbully soils.
Modern and polished direction from the Bizots. More often than not Cab Franc is used for blending as the minority component, but here it shines. With shiny vanilla oak, there’s a sheen to the black currant and brambly/leafy blackberry fruit and concentration to the violet-edged floral highlights with a powdery bathhouse intrigue and touches of spice, licorice and fresh leather. Dark and swarthy with bright, clean lift and woody clove spice. Tannins like crepe paper and a thoroughly balanced finish.”
