The cool vintage shows off the bilberry, blackberries and purple violets of the variety. The addition of 8% shiraz adds some flesh to the middle palate, with cooling tea tree and clove spice. Tannins stick to the sides of its frame. This would be ideal with some chewy and sticky-sauced lamb ribs to complement those persistent tannins.
