Terre à Terre Summertown Vineyard Reserve Pinot Noir 2016

A densely fruited pinot of black and red cherry, dark plum, root spice, autumnal mulch, wood smoke and briar notes, this is sappy and sweet of fruit. It is stridently persistent, too. A stream of acidity melts into a good whack of whole cluster tannins, crunchy and laden with cardamom, anise and clove. A drift of oak, a vanilla icing to the fruit, snuggles in nicely. Finishes with a clang of tangy red fruit.
