Down to Earth Sauvignon Blanc 2015

The wine is sourced from Terre à Terre’s Estate Vineyard in Wrattonbully but sees new world wine making techniques that differentiate it from the Terre a Terre Sauvignon Blanc. The wine was fermented in stainless steel after which 28% was racked to 2000 ltr French oak foudres with both the tank and barrel components aged on lees for four months prior to bottling.

The nose gives a pristine and varietal expression of Sauvignon Blanc with grassy notes to tropical fruits. There is textural grapefruit grip that builds across the palate giving depth and contrast to the wines straighter lines that are expressed through a nervy citrus acidity. A drying yet juicy finish, anything but a simple Sauvignon Blanc.
