Terre à Terre Crayères Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

A blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc, the wine was aged for 12 months in a one year old oak Foudre prior to racking and a further 6 months of ageing. The wine was lightly fined and bottled without filtration.

A deep but youthful red in the glass, the inclusion of a small amount of Cabernet Franc has added a floral aspect to blackberry and tomato leaf on the nose. Tightly bound tannins with touches of graphite and earth to blackberry fruit frame the palate, focused acidity and more savoury notes are contrasted by a dusting of spice and concentrated cassis to finish. This will live for a long time.
