2023 Terre à Terre Crayères Vineyard Cabernet Shiraz
The addition of 35% shiraz brings this wine into a swirl of black cherries, boysenberry and a middle line of red plums and stewed rhubarb. Oak spice teeters on the dusty nutmeg and maple leaf. Its cool vintage shows in the steep, climbing acidity and fine sweep of tannins. A medium-bodied wine with delicate, poised red florals; a fine-boned example of the bottling. A classic cedar oak fills out some creamy sawdust notes on the finish.
