The fourth release of this wine, I enjoyed it because of its unique and individual personality. Terre à Terre, which is French for ‘Down to Earth’ is a husband and wife wine business made up of Xavier Bizot and Lucy Croser.
The fully ripened fruit for this wine was picked by hand. Unlike most savuignon blancs which ferment in stainless steel tanks, this wine also spent time in barrel and on its yeast lees for a period of time – which has resulted in a wine of texture, full-body and more complexity. Spice, pear, white peach, some citrus and even hints of almond waft out of the glass while once you’re sipping, you’ll enjoy beautiful ripe fruit flavours and a wonderfully creamy texture. A very stylish, clean sip to be savoured.
