“Texturally sublime, a wine built with power, length and depth” 95 Points – Regan Drew | Vino Notebook

CREATING CLASSIC AUSTRALIAN WINES

A sneak peek review, the wine is due for release in May 2026. Maintains the same winemaking as previous vintages:  2 days chilling the fruit, with whole bunches pressed off for fermentation in old 600L French oak “demi-mud” barrels. Aged on full lees for 8 months, then racked across to stainless steel for a month before bottling. No malolactic fermentation. Note: Bottle image is of 2023, but nought else has changed. Very pale lemon hue. Deeply complex nose. Raspberry canes, passionfruit husk, whipped cream, almond husks, wafer biscuit, citrus pith, gooseberry, lemon leaf, box hedge, fennel slices, ginger, saline/mineral and underlying tropical fruit. Texturally sublime, a wine built with power, length and depth that balances both fruit and winemaking. Don’t serve too cold to appreciate the many goings on. 95 Points
