“81% cabernet sauvignon. 19% shiraz. This wine really does lay down the law. The fruit is fresh but bold, the texture is dry but soft, the finish is juicy but chained with tannin. You have to enjoy and appreciate tannin, certainly, because there’s a wide spread of it here, but this is a quality wine in all respects, and fromn every angle. Cedar, dust, juicy red-and-black berries, a long, floral, complex conclusion; it’s a gorgeous flavour profile. Gum leaf notes are evident too – in an integrated, harmonious way. It’s to necessarily a big wine but it feels in full command.”
