2023 harvest ended the week after Easter with our Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Shiraz being picked all in the same week.
The 2023 growing season was challenging, the coolest vintage in the short history of Terre a Terre and DAOSA, with good rainfall and no heatwave. Our efforts to keep open canopies and to reduce yield allowed the fruit in each of our vineyard to ripen to perfection.
The DAOSA sparkling wines from Piccadilly Valley will be exemplary, with great acidities and delicate flavours. The red blends for TERRE à TERRE from Crayères Vineyard will be reminiscent of the Coonawarra clarets of the 1960s and 1970s. Finally, the Crayères Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc will demonstrate again Sauvignon Blanc’s fine wine credentials.
