CREATING CLASSIC AUSTRALIAN WINES

DAOSA Natural Réserve 7th Release

Arther: Patrick Eckel | Wine Reviewer

A blend of 57% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay and 8% Pinot Meunier. 85% of the base wine was from 2022 and 15 % from reserve wines. The wine was aged on lees in bottle for 2 years.
A lovely fine bead, the nose has richness from Pinot Noir and oyster shell and saline notes from the chardonnay that gives a lift. A beautifully textured wine that has a mineral line of acidity that is fresh and fine, faint red berry fruits get whisked away by gentle stone fruit influences and a gentle build of brioche like richness.
The finish is long, precise but has breadth of mouthfeel; above all it is beautifully balanced. Drinking well now, but will also reward a good 3 + years in bottle before a long drinking window.
