Terre à Terre Crayères Vineyard Cabernet Franc 2021
Author: Erin Larkin | Robert Parker Wine Advocate
The 2021 Crayeres Vineyard Cabernet Franc this year contains 9% of Shiraz from the 1.5 meter by 1.5 meter Crayeres Vineyard in Wrattonbully. Planted on Terra Rossa soil, over an ancient bedrock of limestone, the wines from this part of the world are typically imbued with a splay of Hrm but ductile tannins, and this wine is no exception.
Gravelly yet silky, with pliable tannins and, at this point, an assertive array of oak, this is a classy wine that exceeds its $35 AUD price point in terms of quality and shows that it will have several years of
aging in front of it. In fact, I believe it will be better in just a matter of years, when all components have melded into each other. Good wine!
14.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.
