CREATING CLASSIC AUSTRALIAN WINES

Terre à Terre Crayères Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz 2021

Arther: Andrew Graham | Oz Wine Review

So often with Terre à Terre reds I want to turn the volume knob down just a smidgen. But this Terre à Terre Crayères Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz 2021 feels much more balanced. It’s still a ripe Wrattonbully red, with purple fruit, chocolate, chocolate truffles, rosewater and violets. What’s different is that the expression feels less like an aspirational right bank Bordeaux mimic and more like an Australian cool clime Syrah with a bit of Cabernet. I really like the carefulness of that black fruit, even if it’s a little warm-edged.
