2021 TERRE À TERRE CRAYÈRES CABERNET FRANC

“Deep ruby with a gentle blush and a calm, cool and charming nose layered with violets, fresh mint, sweet jammy berries, rounded citrus, raspberry leaf tea, potting soil, pinot-like underbrush, tobacco, raw beef and a lift of sumac.
In the mouth it’s finely structured, juicy yet dry and bursts with fresh and vibrant flavours of purple and black fruit, dark cherries, raspberry licorice, orange zest, clove, dried herbals and hints of tomato. An undercurrent of citrus leaning acidity drives, while tall dusty tannins grip and hold with pleasurable tension. It’s meticulously made and has the restraint and elegance I would associate with the Loire, but the fruit that is all ours. I love this release.
