Huon Hooke review – Terre a Terre Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

CREATING CLASSIC AUSTRALIAN WINES

Huon Hooke 92

Very tight, firm, lean, narrow profiled wine. Tobacco and black fruit aromas, a touch of green tannin backing up the sweet fruit. Lots of grip. The acid is relatively low, but the tannins are a touch sappy. It’s good but faintly herbal. (5% cabernet franc. Aged a year in a new 4000-litre foudre, then another year in a 5-year-old foudre)
