Terre à Terre Piccadilly Wrattonbully White 2018
“It’s a blend of late harvested sauvignon blanc and direct pressed cabernet franc. A sauvignon franc. Or a cabernet blanc. Anyways, interesting approach and to be applauded too.
It’s squeaky in texture, feels a touch candied in fruit profile though the finish is limey and tart. Perfume is kind of tutti fruitti and goes alright. Vivacious acidity is a feature, very perky, crunchy, cleansing. It has a very distinct personality that feels overt, a little off-kilter but generally interesting. Would I drink a heap? No. But a glass feels very good to cradle – I like the wild streak drawing me in. It’s best drunk cold.” 90
