CREATING CLASSIC AUSTRALIAN WINES

“New Blends by a Skilled Composer”

This month, Terre à Terre winemaker Xavier Bizot is releasing three new blends from the 2018 vintage of his Crayères Vineyard — a special piece of terroir in the state’s south-east wine region of Wrattonbully. Planted by Xavier and Lucy Bizot in the 2000s, the vineyard sits atop an ancient limestone ridge and shares a similar climate to Saint Emilion in Bordeaux. The bordelaise varieties of cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc and sauvignon blanc thrive here, alongside shiraz. Terre à Terre will release the 2018 reds from the Crayères Vineyard not as single varietals, but as three distinctive red blends.
