James Halliday’s Top SA Wines 2013

CREATING CLASSIC AUSTRALIAN WINES

Not one, but two of our wines have appeared in James Halliday’s top South Australian wines for 2013.

2012 Down to Earth Wrattonbully Sauvignon Blanc

Pale straw-green; an intense, focused wine fermented in French oak barrels of various sizes and ages, purely a means of investing the wine with its extra structural dimensions and in no way inhibiting the display of lychee and ripe citrus/pineapple fruit. Top tier stuff.

2009 Terre à Terre Wrattonbully Cabernet Sauvignon

Light but bright crimson; a vibrantly fresh, light-to medium-bodied wine with a very particular juicy, tactile character to the palate, at least in part due to the sophisticated fermentation and oak maturation (for two years) techniques employed. Vive la difference.
