Terre à Terre Crayères Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2016

From the Crayeres vineyard towards the south of the region, this is Xavier Bizot’s take on sauvignon blanc — but not as we mostly know it, a good portion fermented and matured in larger oak vats, crafted patiently, bottle rested, and now expressing sophisticated creamy, spiced nectarine and pear notes with delicious minerally textures and none of the obvious punchy and herbaceous characters more commercial sauvignons show. Designed to impress more engaged palates — and also with the structure to age magnificently, a 2012 opened recently still fresh and zesty with fruit flavours turning grilled and toasty.
