Huon Hooke: “a very appealing drink”

Tasted on a preserving system in Vagabond restaurant, Buckingham Palace Rd, Victoria, London. This has matured nicely since first released. The bouquet is a touch subdued but clean and attractive, while the wine really scores on the palate, where it’s soft and round, flavoursome and still fresh at three years, with fine texture, some pulpy richness in mouth-feel, good balance and length. A very appealing drink, for those who don’t like their savvy to be pungent. That includes me.
