CREATING CLASSIC AUSTRALIAN WINES

DAOSA Rosé 2022

Author: Regan Drew | VinoNoteBook

The third release of this label from Xavier and Lucy Bizot and the Terre a Terre team. A  shift in the blend, with Pinot Meunier being dominant (66%) Pinot Noir (30%) and Chardonnay (4%). Tiraging occurred in November 2022 with the wine then spending 22 months in bottle before disgorging and a low dosage of 6g/L in September 2024.

Pale coppery dusk in colour. Lots of scattered yet fast moving bubbles and very fine lacing. A potent blend of sweet and savoury: Orange rind, cupboard dust, pink apple, cranberry, white cherry, tea bun, jaffa*, pink salt and cool stones. Intense, tight and dry with a minerally determination giving foundation to rococo pink/red fruit. Effortless balance with an ethereal lift showing understated complexity and structure.
