Always a serious take on Sauvignon Blanc, this is partially barrel-fermented and benefits from a few years in the bottle. For now, this has an Adelaide Hills-like grassy Sauv note and a lemony primary form, with a firm, ripe citrus finish. There’s a proper depth here, though it all feels transitional and phenolic.
Best drinking: give it two years. Best drinking: now. 17.5/20, 91/100 (Silver Medal). 13.9%, $35. Would I buy it? Not yet.
