CREATING CLASSIC AUSTRALIAN WINES

Terre à Terre Crayères Vineyard Reserve 2020

Author: Steve Leszczynski | Q Wine Reviews

Absolutely superb, this Terre à Terre Crayères Vineyard Reserve 2020 is a step up on previous releases. A 78/22 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, it’s tense, tight with quality dripping from every pore.

It spends 14 months in French oak and another 24 months in bottle before release. Switched on and classy, there is no denying its beauty.

Wonderfully fragrant, purple flowers and potpourri entice. Spiced berries along with concentrated blackberries and blackcurrants are detailed and layered. A lick of orange peel and a dusting of cocoa build even more curiosity. Dried herbs featuring sage and thyme are seemingly placed with precision but the highlight for me is its ability to slowly reveal itself over a few days of tasting. No one loses with this in their glass. Brilliant!
