We’ve all got that friend who has expensive taste (hello Teah!) and if I served this blind, I reckon she may suspect this would have come from a historic Champagne house. Like all wines in the DAOSA range, this Rosé is excellent and again shows the supreme quality of Australian sparkling.
Rose gold in appearance, there is a fraction more weight and that can be attributed to the higher portion of Pinot Meunier in the blend (66%) with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay rounding out the other two contributors (30/4).
Strawberries and cream, licks of tangelo and delicate blackberries are the main players ably supported by crunchy red apples, red plums and dried herbs in the form of thyme and sage. The length is incredibly generous as it seems neverending leaving a fine sheet of tonic-like texture in its wake. Dry and absolutely moreish, I’d have no hesitation recommending this wine and I suspect it would land a killer blow to some of those more fancied French producers. Go here.
