It’s a brave, and wholly admirable thing to release a Cabernet Franc dominant wine. I wish there were more of them.
It’s a rare bird all right, and a beautiful one too. Redcurrant, floral perfume, signature sweet grassiness of Franc, gentle sweetly spiced oak in support. Medium bodied, crisp and precise, subtly herbal, perfumed red fruit with hazelnut richness to bring it home. Lovely settled acidity, fine almost gummy tannin, and a long fresh strawberried finish with suave grainy tannin teasing it out. Emphatic approval on all fronts here. Great drink. High interest.
