Terre a Terre Crayères Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
It’s now (and perhaps it was last vintage) sub-titled with ‘Crayères Vineyard’. The last few vintages of this wine have been really impressive.
Firmly medium bodied, almost light and fresh, with redcurrant, raspberry and blackcurrant, a smattering of gum leaf and tobacco perfume, with oak well in the background. Perhaps it lacks some intensity and weight, though that’s part of its charm too. Tannin is grainy and light, with herbal/stalky notes playing in the finish. I suspect this will be a much better wine with a few years under its belt.
