Terre à Terre Crayères Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Much richer nose than the Down to Earth 2016 bottling. More rewarding and distinctive. Even a little figgy in the way of a smart Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc, but with much less alcohol and more sprightly lift. Hovers somewhere between California and Pessac-Léognan, though it also reminds me a little of that PHI, Lusatia Park Sauvignon Blanc from Yarra Valley. A complex, really interesting wine.  Some smokiness and perhaps still a til bit of dissolved carbon dioxide but very appetising both with and without food.
