Terre à Terre Rosé 2017

A blend of Pinot Noir (56%) and Chardonnay (44%) grown at the Bizot and Summertown vineyards in the Piccadilly Valley. The free run juice from the Pinot and Chardonnay went into Terre a Terre’s sparkling wine with juice from the pressings used in this uniquely made and highly sophisticated rose.

A beautiful colour with salmon to orange hue in the glass. The blend of Pinot and Chardonnay and time on lees has given a wine that enjoys lifted strawberry notes from Pinot Noir with a suggestion of stone fruits and touch of leesy richness from the Chardonnay.

An elegant and refined palate that is built on layers of delicate flavours, the wines 11.9% alcohol ensures no one part dominates. There is a consistent backdrop of citrus with meyer lemon and nectarine is given a gentle vanillin lift with top notes of wild strawberry. Time in barrel and on lees has ensured the finish has just enough generosity and richness without impacting the freshness of the wine.

Only 175 dozen produced, which means it is very unlikely to get through summer 2018 / 2019.
