Crayères Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2019
“Steely pale straw in colour with a finely layered and complexed nose of pretty white florals, citrus blossom, passionfruit, zesty lime curd, pear, banana pith, peas and hints of sweet green capsicum. Background notes of lemon thyme, white pepper, hazelnut/pine nut oak, cultured butter and a limestone minerality deepen the complexity.
Smooth and sultry in the mouth with a creamy and generously flavoured wave of stonefruit, citrus and pear that are seamlessly intertwined with stunning tropical edged acidity. Passionfruit and lime overtones brighten the rich juice, while lees notes gives complexity to it all. The midpalate shows the nicely chosen oak and some gravelly textured minerality that grips, drying the mouth and allowing the acidity to gently surge to a tail of nougat and sweet peas. This is stunning!!! A true benchmark Australian Sauvignon Blanc!”
