“Their current prestige Savvy from the famous Wrattonbully vineyard, Crayeres, and a superb vintage. The fruit was chilled before whole bunch pressing. Then three weeks cold settling in stainless steel before fermentation in eight 600-litre French oak demi-muids, crafted from Vosges and Alliers oak. The wine is then left on lees for eight months. A lovely shimmering lemon hue, the nose offers intense but classic Savvy notes. Nettles, gooseberries, spices and a touch of the tropicals. Nicely balanced with good acidity, there is some early complexity and impressive length, with a distinct energy here. Lingering beautifully, it is an elite Sauvignon Blanc to enjoy now and over the next decade.”
