Like all Australians we have been devastated to watch the disastrous bushfires ravaging the country this summer. Friends and neighbours in the Adelaide Hills have lost property, vineyards, equipment and homes. The impact on the Hills wine region has been severe and will be long-lasting. We have been further horrified to witness the emerging images of damage to the serene and beautiful landscape of Kangaroo Island, a place close to the hearts of many South Australians. Our thoughts are with the people in both regions who have suffered unimaginable losses and distress in the past few weeks.
Throughout January, we will be donating money to two worthy funds to help these two South Australian regions recover.
Buy a case of our new release 2019 Down to Earth Sauvignon Blanc and we’ll donate $10 from every bottle ($120 per case) to the Kangaroo Island Mayoral Relief and Recovery Bushfire Fund. The money raised through the appeal will go directly into the hands of islanders that need it most, to help them face each new day with financial assistance to rebuild their lives, homes and businesses. Buy a six pack of our 2017 Summertown Reserve Pinot Noir and we’ll donate $15 from every bottle ($90 per six pack) to the Adelaide Hills Wine Region Fire Appeal. The recent fires have impacted more than 60 grape growers and wine producers, and flow on effect within the region will be severe.
