DAOSA Rosé, its fourth release, is in sparkling form with bright cherry, dusty strawberry and cranberry aromas, florals, earth, Brazil nut and almond biscotti – all very fresh and vibrant. Red and white grapes combine – 50% Pinot Meunier, 46% Pinot Noir and 4% Chardonnay – with Meunier fermented in tank and the rest in barrel. The palate is fresh and flavour-filled with a slow rising, light savoury earthy quality and a texture that will start you thinking about using this maybe less as an aperitif, and more as an accompaniment to food. Comes in deep in dusty strawberry, cherry with a light spiciness and tart cranberry notes, Brazil nut and biscotti. Earthy notes and nuts to close. Winemaker, Xavier Bizot, suggests between 5-10 years cellaring potential.
