“The 62% Cabernet Sauvignon jumps out on the nose, with fresh blackcurrant and a hint of mint, while the Shiraz fleshes out the palate with juicy blackberry and plum. Aged nine months in barrel (21% new), then nine months in old 4,000l French oak foudres. Fuller bodied than the Cabernet Franc-Shiraz, with more assertive, chewy tannins and a savoury dimension, with earth and leather. Finishes fresh, firm and focused, with chalky acidity.” 93 points
