It is with great pleasure and pride that we can announce that our 2019 Crayères Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc has just been awarded for the second time the Best Sauvignon Blanc in Australia for the 2022 Halliday Wine Companion awards. The 2019 Crayères Vineyard was also included in James Halliday’s TOP100 in late 2020.
The wine, reviewed by James, was chosen in a second tasting by the entire Halliday Wine Companion tasting team above the other Australian Sauvignon Blancs submitted.
“Cold-settled for 2 months, a technique developed by Brian Croser, but rarely duplicated. Fermentation in used 600L demi-muids, then matured on full lees for 8 months. The result is very complex, but the fruit is undaunted, with layers of lemon curd, citrus and a whisper of honey.” 96 points – James Halliday
Our 2014 Terre a Terre Sauvignon Blanc was awarded this accolade in the 2016 edition of The Wine Companion. This second award only serves to confirm our belief in the great potential of our Crayères Vineyard to produce world class Sauvignon Blanc.
