“60/39/1% pinot noir/chardonnay/pinot meunier. Around 17% of the wine is reserve material, with 83% from the 2021 vintage.
A very pleasing sparkling wine with good energy, vibrant fizz, slippery texture, a core of briny acidity and an ebullient perfume of fresh fruit and nutty/savoury elements. Green apple, brioche, halva and lime are the order of the day, there’s plenty of all this in bouquet and palate. A touch of sweetness is apparent, too. It’s an easy-drinking sparkling with a good sense of complexity, though the fruity/sweeter profile may deter those seeking more austere or serious savouriness in their sparklings.”
